Tea Pot and Apple

This is acrylic on watercolor paper. I was happy with it cuz I didn't have to wrestle with this like the rest of my paintings. I did it in 30min before class because i didn't care at the time but then it came out pretty good. It taught me to loosen up and not to over think things. Just paint.

  1. Is that Hannah's teapot? She fucking loved tea, she so wanted to be British! Good old Hannah ...

It's funny how many of the best lessons I learned at Mass Art were not in a classroom, but rather in those frantic last minute marathons to complete a piece before class. During these times your weaknesses are laid bare before you, and I feel there is no faster way to learn to be efficient, proficient in media, and generally thrifty than during such a panic.

  2. yes... there are some things art school teaches you that have nothing to do with teachers, classrooms, or even making art. However, they could not be learned in any other environment...
